Coping With Disaster (in Spanish as Enfrentando El Desastre) is a guidebook to psychosocial intervention. It is aimed at mental health workers and at others, such as health care workers, teachers, and religious leaders who wish to assist survivors of a disaster. Both of the manuals are  in PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, click at right to download it. (It's free).

Caring for Others, Caring for Yourself is aimed at humanitarian aid workers. It includes sections on the principles of psychosocial response to those who have been affected by disasters and sections on self care.

Bibliography: Managing Stress in Humanitarian, Health Care, and Human Rights Workers contains a variety of published sources on managing stress.
